In some cases when you are working with large models or models that contain long linear assets, you may experience some visual disturbance that may look like fuzziness. This is something that is known as Z-Fighting. You may experience it with models that have coplanar polygons or meshes. Without going into too much detail, let me show you how some visual tweaks may improve your experience.

  • In 3D Repo click on the account icon in the top right corner of your screen.

  • I the menu click on the Visual Settings

  • In the visual settings menu open the Advanced tab

  • Update your Minimum near plane to 1000.
by default, it is set to 10

  • Click on the Save button

Now, since you have increased the minimum near plane value, this will alter the way your 3D objects are rendered when they all have a very similar distance to the camera. In some cases, even after updating the visual settings, you may still experience some Z-Fighting. This is due to the fact that some polygons are co-planar. This issue stems from the way you model your geometry and if you wish to resolve it, you may need to go back to your design authoring tool.
