When dealing with a list of risks, it's essential to communicate those with other project members. Luckily in 3D Repo, you can comment on risks and communicate your message in real-time, just like you would in other messengers. We'll show you how it works and cover the following topics:
View Comments
Add a Comment
Add a Markup
Tag a Person
Quote Comments & Resources
View a Comments
Head over to 3D Repo and open any model/federation where you would like to comment on risks. In the model viewer do the following:
Open Risk in the SafetiBase Card
Scroll down to the comments section
Click on the arrow to enlarge the Comments sectionClick on any comment image to open it.
Click on any comment to change camera position
Only works if a comment has a model screenshot, not an image importShow Options will filter the information displayed in the comments section.
In the drop-down menu for Show you can select the following:
- Comments
- System Logs (changes to the risk)
- All (Comments & System Logs)
Add a Comment
Click on the Comments box and start typing
Click on the Save icon to add your comment
To delete the comment, click on the Remove X button
Note that it only works for your latest comment
Add a Markup
The Markup feature in 3D Repo is ideal for highlight specific elements/risks. You can add text, shapes or revision clouds in different colours and line weights. Use the markup tool when adding screenshots/images to risk comments.
1. Model Screenshot
Click on the Camera icon to take a model screenshot
In the pop-up window draw/write anything you like
Click on the green Save button
Your mark up will appear in the new comment sectionTo delete the screenshot, simply click on it (X button on hover)
Click the Save button to send the screenshot markup as a comment
2. Upload Image
Click on the Picture icon to upload an image
In the pop-up window draw/write anything you like
Click on the green Save button
Your mark up will appear in the new comment sectionTo delete the image, simply click on it (X button on hover)
Click the Save button to send the image markup as a comment

Tag a Person
Tags are ideal when you want to mention a specific user you’re addressing the comment to. Here's how you can achieve it:
Click on the arrow icon below the comment
Or type @ followed by their Username/Name
Quote a Comment & Resource
Comment Quote other user's comments.
Click on the quote marks underneath their comment.
Resource Quote risk resources such as PDFs/Images/Videos/URLs
Open the Attachments tab and click on the quote marks next to the resource you want to mention in your comment.
