Now that you know how to create a basic view, you'll discover that you can customise your views further. Here I explain how to create views with:

Cut a section through your 3D model however you wish with the Clip feature.

Apply a single clip plane in any direction. Now create a new view and save it.

Apply a clip box (up to 6 clip planes). Now create a new view and save it.

You can create views that contain object selection, hidden or isolated objects and object colour overrides. Once you're happy with your custom selection, open your Views card and save the viewpoint. The highlighted elements appear in your view.

Select individual or multiple model elements using your mouse cursor or selection box. For more guidance, refer to Object Selection. Now create a new view and save it.

Use Hide Objects (crossed plain eye icon) from the toolbar features (located at the bottom of your screen) to manually hide any selection. You can perform this action on multiple objects as well or hide them using data structure with the Model Tree or Groups. Once you have isolated model elements, create a new view and save it.

You can create or use an existing Group or Smart Group to add object colour and transparency overrides. To do that, head over to the Groups Card and pick any group you wish to highlight in your view. Now create a new view and save it.
